The former head of the Balikchy Department of Internal Affairs, Chyngyz Tokoldoshov, has been sent to a pre-trial detention center.

According to information provided by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, Tokoldoshov was detained in connection with corruption charges. According to the court ruling dated February 27, 2026, the request of the head of the interagency investigative group, the head of the investigative department of the Military Prosecutor's Office, was granted.

Tokoldoshov, charged under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, has been ordered to be held in custody until April 15, 2026.

It is worth noting that Tokoldoshov is mentioned in a video related to the so-called "40 choro," which was presented by the former head of the State National Security Committee in Bishkek, Jakypbekov.

Additionally, he is a relative of Rysbek Karagulovich Alchiev, the former prosecutor of Bishkek and former deputy attorney general of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the former prosecutor of Jalal-Abad (now Manas). Tokoldoshov's sister, Venera, who works as a notary in one of the districts of Bishkek, is married to Alchiev.
