Illegal transfer of 104 hectares of forest service land identified in Jumgal

In the Jumgal district of the Naryn region, prosecutors have uncovered cases of illegal transfer of forest service land for lease. As a result, a criminal case has been initiated.

According to supervisory authorities, the case was opened based on Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to official forgery. Currently, investigative activities are being conducted as part of the case.

Inspection results showed that officials of the Jumgal forest service, abusing their official position, held fictitious competitions for the lease of land plots from 2019 to 2024, acting to the detriment of the interests of the service and profiting for themselves or third parties.

During these manipulations, fake protocols of the competitive procedures were created, based on which 49 citizens received leases for plots with a total area of 104.19 hectares for a period of up to 49 years.
