As a result of the terrorist attack, according to the case data, 70 out of 149 victims died not from gunshot wounds but due to a fire caused by the attack. The main cause of death was thermal inhalation injuries combined with carbon monoxide.

It is worth noting that on March 22, 2024, a terrorist attack occurred at "Krokus City Hall" in the Moscow region during a concert attended by thousands of spectators. Four terrorists — Muhammadsobir Faizov, Dalerjon Mirzoev, Fariduni Shamsiddin, and Saidakram Rachabalizoda — stormed the building at 7:00 PM, opening fire and setting it on fire. As a result of the attack, 145 people died.

The attackers were detained in the Bryansk region, about 100 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. All four are charged under the article "Terrorist Act" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that the terrorist group "Islamic State" claimed responsibility for the attack. Subsequently, the FSB detained 11 people, most of whom turned out to be citizens of Tajikistan.
