The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has received five new artificial ventilation machines, which will be sent to the Batken region to improve neonatal care.

According to information from the ministry, this equipment was purchased through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and cost over 65 thousand US dollars. The machines are intended for use in neonatal departments, where they will provide essential assistance to newborns, including children with serious conditions and respiratory failure.

“We strive to provide qualified medical assistance even in the most remote corners of the country. And we greatly appreciate UNDP's efforts to develop the technological base of healthcare, train personnel, and implement modern technologies,” noted Erkin Checheybaev, Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, UNDP will also assist in training medical personnel in the Batken region so that they can effectively work with the new ventilation machines, ensuring the safe use of the equipment from the very beginning of its operation.
