
A court proceeding has been initiated against a Russian woman in St. Petersburg
Ekaterina Bivol, the ex-wife of world boxing champion and Tokmak native Dmitry Bivol, is facing trial in Russia for insults directed at Kyrgyz and Kazakhs. This information was provided by the press service of the courts in the city.
The Lenin District Court of St. Petersburg has registered an administrative case against Ekaterina Bivol. She is accused under Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which covers "Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity."
The case was initiated based on a video posted on a Telegram channel, where the woman makes rude comments about Kyrgyz and Kazakhs.
The court hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2026. If found guilty, she may face a fine of up to 20,000 rubles, mandatory community service, or imprisonment for a specified period.
It is worth noting that criminal cases have also been initiated against Ekaterina Bivol in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and she has been placed on the wanted list. Bivol previously claimed that she does not feel threatened, as she is a citizen of Russia and has not been contacted by any law enforcement agencies.
