The agency emphasized that the introduction of licensing is aimed at:
- organizing the process of passenger transportation by cars;
- ensuring safety on the roads;
- protecting the lives and health of citizens;
- reducing the number of road traffic accidents;
- eliminating the operation of vehicles without technical inspection;
- controlling the work and rest regime of drivers.
Taking into account citizens' appeals, the deadline for obtaining licenses has been extended to July 1, 2026.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs expresses gratitude to those citizens who responsibly approached the requirements and timely obtained their licenses.
Those who have not yet managed to obtain a license are advised not to postpone the document processing until the last moment and to contact the Main Department of Road Safety in advance.
To obtain a license, it is necessary to provide, in addition to a passport, a driver's license, a vehicle registration certificate, and a receipt for the payment of the state duty in the amount of 500 soms, seven additional documents. Three of these documents can be obtained in digital format through the "Tündük" mobile application.
Among the required documents:
- certificate of registration with the tax authorities;
- contract for mandatory insurance of civil liability of the carrier to passengers;
- certificate of the presence or absence of a criminal record.
Documents to be provided upon personal visit:
- employment contract with a legal entity (carrier or fleet);
- power of attorney for the right to drive the vehicle and/or lease agreement;
- act of passing the technical inspection of the vehicle;
- medical certificate confirming the driver's health.
