Deputies approved in the second reading the bill on reducing state awards

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, a bill concerning state awards, honorary titles, and prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic was adopted in the second reading.

This bill was initiated by the cabinet of ministers.

The information about the initiative was presented by Kurmankul Zulushyev, the chairman of the committee on constitutional legislation, state structure, and local self-government.

The purpose of the bill is to streamline the existing system of state awards, improve the legal norms related to the awarding of prizes and titles, as well as to enhance their prestige and authority in society.

In addition, the deputies discussed and adopted in the first reading the bill "On Competition," which aims to improve the legal regulation of antimonopoly policy and protect competition in the country, taking into account international standards.

Also, during the meeting, a bill on the ratification of an agreement with the Eurasian Development Bank regarding the financing of the project "Improvement of Roads in the City of Osh" was reviewed. This bill was adopted in the first reading.

The project includes the construction of two overpass bridges, an overpass on the streets A. Masaliev and V. Lenin, as well as a bridge over the Ak-Buura River and the expansion of streets to 4-6 lanes. The total cost of the project is 19.31 million US dollars, of which 14.15 million dollars is a loan, and 1.24 million dollars is a grant for a period of 15 years with a grace period of 5 years and an interest rate of 1.2%.
