Suspects in the Louvre robbery partially admitted guilt
This robbery occurred on October 19, when the perpetrators quickly broke into the Apollo Gallery and stole nine historical jewels. The estimated value of the stolen items is around €88 million. Jewelry belonging to Empress Maria Louise was stolen from the museum, as well as three pieces from the collection of Queen Maria Amalia and Dutch Queen Hortense de Beauharnais, and four items from the collection of Empress Eugenie.
