A 22-year-old local resident named A. B. reported to the authorities that unknown individuals were demanding money from him under the threat of distributing a video recording.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 208 "Extortion" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Operational actions were carried out as part of the preventive operation "Bandit".
In custody are 21-year-old S. M., a resident of Osh, and 23-year-old Ch. uulu B. from the Kara-Suu district. Both have been placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating whether the detainees may be involved in other similar crimes.
