During the investigation, it was revealed that employees of the Kara-Suu District Department of Internal Affairs intentionally distorted data to conceal details of a traffic accident that occurred on June 21, 2022, resulting in the death of a child born in 2013.
On March 11, 2023, a pre-investigation check began, during which the parents of the deceased and witnesses of the incident were interrogated. It was established that the teenager was struck by a vehicle.
A criminal case was initiated on March 13 under part 2 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the falsification of evidence.
The detainees included investigator T. S. from the Arawan District Department of Internal Affairs and police major U. M., head of the department of the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Alai District Department of Internal Affairs. The court has ordered them to be held in custody for two months.
Currently, T. S. is undergoing treatment in a hospital under the guard of a convoy due to health issues.
Further investigative actions are ongoing.
