Mahabat Tajibek kyzy was arrested along with a dozen employees of Temirov Live in January 2024, and they were charged with organizing mass riots. On February 25, 2025, the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan reviewed the appeal of three of the 11 detained journalists and upheld the previous sentence: Mahabat received six years in prison, Azamat Ishenbekov got five years, and Aike Beishikeeva was sentenced to three years of probation. The Bishkek City Court also ruled probation for Aktilek Kaparov for three years, and he did not appeal this decision. The other seven were acquitted due to lack of evidence of a crime.
