On March 23, preliminary hearings took place at the Lenin District Court regarding the criminal case involving journalist Mahabat Tajibek kyzy from "Ait Ait Dese," as reported by the publication "AKIpress Summary," citing the press service of the Bishkek City Court.

According to her husband, Bolot Temirov, Tajibek kyzy has been released and is now under a travel restriction.

"The measure of restraint for my client has been changed, and we will head to the village of Stepnoye, where the women's colony is located, and then return to court so that Tajibek kyzy can testify," commented lawyer Akynbek Nogaev.

Recall that on October 10, 2024, the Lenin District Court sentenced 11 journalists.

Mahabat Tajibek kyzy was found guilty under articles 41 part 2 and 278 part 3 ("Calls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of representatives of power and for mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, and she was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

On March 10, the Supreme Court ruled to return the case.
