The operation was carried out on February 19 as part of a criminal case being investigated by the Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tokmok for signs of a crime specified in Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During a search conducted at the temporary residence of 53-year-old citizen D.N. in the village of Tort-Kul in the Kemin district, important findings were made.
According to law enforcement agencies, during the search, substances of dark green color with a characteristic smell, a package with a plant substance, as well as firearms were seized: a rifle with a silencer and scope, two smoothbore shotguns, and over 200 cartridges of various calibers, which were stored without the necessary permits.
Expert examination confirmed that the seized substances are narcotic drugs: cannabis (marijuana) with a total weight of 281.328 grams, as well as hashish weighing 0.4781 grams and 0.4440 grams.
According to the experts' conclusion, the discovered rifle is a rifled firearm model TOZ-17 with a caliber of 5.6 mm; one of the shotguns is a smoothbore firearm of 12 caliber model "IZH-18M," and the second is a smoothbore firearm of 20 caliber model "Mauser 98." All ammunition was factory-made, technically sound, and suitable for use.
In connection with these facts, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 267 (illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition) and 283 (illegal manufacture of drugs and psychotropic substances without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The case is currently under investigation.
