In Batken, a debtor received two years in prison for evading alimony payments

In the Batken region, a debtor was convicted for evading alimony payments and received a sentence of two years in prison. This was reported by the bailiff service under the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to the agency's information, within the framework of the enforcement proceedings concerning the debtor D.S.K., alimony was being collected in the amount of half of his income in favor of O.Zh.G.

During inspections, it was established that as of January 1, 2026, the arrears in alimony, which had been accumulating since December 8, 2022, amounted to 425,801 soms.

Due to evasion of his alimony obligations, the materials were submitted to the court. On April 3, the Batken District Court issued a verdict, under which D.S.K. was taken into custody directly in the courtroom and sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
