The investigation into the murder of a woman committed by her husband — a former police officer — will be conducted by the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). This was reported by the press service of the agency, explaining the reasons for such a decision.
The SCNS emphasized that this crime, which occurred using traumatic weapons and affected the life of a mother of three children, has become a subject of active discussion in the media and social networks. The murder has caused a wide public outcry, considering that the accused, although in the past, worked in law enforcement.
By the directive of the Chairman of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kamchybek Tashiev, the case has been transferred to the central office, where an investigative operational group has been formed to begin the investigation.
The country's top leadership has already voiced its position on this outrageous incident, which undermines the foundations of public safety and family values, stating the need for a principled legal assessment of what happened.
During the investigation, new details have emerged, including information about the presence of a temporary protection order for the deceased and facts regarding the illegal possession and carrying of gas-traumatic weapons by the accused, with which the murder was committed.
At the moment, the accused is in custody and placed in the investigative isolation ward of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic, where he will remain throughout the investigation.
The SCNS also states that as a result of the investigation, a final legal assessment will be given not only to the actions of the accused but also to those who may have facilitated the commission of this brutal crime.
Addressing the children and relatives of the deceased, the SCNS assures that all those responsible will receive their just punishment in accordance with the law, and the public will be timely informed about the results of the investigation.
