The Ombudsman helped orphans from Naryn obtain inheritance after their mother's death

After the intervention of the Ombudsman Institute, the minors were able to formalize the land plot

Two minor orphans living in Naryn were able to restore their rights to inheritance, thanks to the assistance of Ombudsman Jamilya Jamambaeva. After their mother's death, they were left without formalized inheritance, despite the fact that a land plot was registered in her name.

The grandmother of the teenagers, aged 14 and 15, approached the Ombudsman's representative in the Naryn region and explained the situation. Relatives of the deceased began to contest the right to the land and did not provide the necessary documents for the inheritance formalization.

Employees of the Ombudsman Institute assisted the grandmother in gathering documents and explained to her the procedure for protecting children's rights. They sent requests to the relevant authorities, and the State Agency for Land Resources confirmed the registration of the 58-acre plot in the name of the children's mother.

After contacting the Legal Aid Service at the Ministry of Justice, the grandmother was assigned a free lawyer, and the case was brought to court. During the court proceedings, the parties were able to reach a settlement.

As a result, the minors received a certificate of inheritance rights and formalized the land plot in their name.
