A meeting of the board organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic took place in Bishkek, where the results of the work of energy companies for the nine months of 2025 were summarized. High-ranking officials attended this meeting, including a representative of the president's office, Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev, as well as deputy ministers and heads of related sectors.
As part of the project "Rehabilitation of the Toktogul HPP Phase No. 3," the installation work on hydro unit No. 3 has been fully completed.
Currently, pre-commissioning activities are being carried out on the electrical part of the unit. As of October 30 of this year, the hydro unit successfully passed its first synchronization and began supplying electricity to the Kyrgyzstan grid.
"The rehabilitation of hydro unit No. 3 will be completed within the next 14 days, which will allow its capacity to be increased by 60 MW," noted representatives of the ministry.
