In connection with the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and the resolution of the UN General Assembly, the International Decade of Action for Mountain Development (2023-2027) has been launched. Our country is actively participating in promoting mountain development issues on the global stage, strengthening international ties. Within the country, consistent work is being carried out to improve the living conditions of the population in mountain areas: developing infrastructure, modernizing transport routes, digitizing public services, supporting tourism, agriculture, and the green economy, as well as expanding the network of social institutions.
On this significant day, I call on all citizens, partners, and friends of Kyrgyzstan to participate in the sustainable development of mountain territories: to make nature-oriented decisions, protect flora and fauna, develop innovations and ecological culture, and promote international cooperation in these areas.
Preserving biological diversity, traditional knowledge, and harmonious coexistence with nature, rational use of resources, and protecting mountain ecosystems are commitments we must undertake for future generations.
May the majestic mountains continue to inspire us, granting strength of spirit and confidence in tomorrow. May they always remain a symbol of peace, harmony, and a sustainable future for all peoples.
