According to information provided by the GKNB of Kyrgyzstan, Chairman Kamchybek Tashiev ordered to take control of the criminal case regarding the brutal murder of a mother of three children by her ex-husband.
As part of the investigation, an investigative operational group was formed, which focused on the factors that led to this serious crime, according to the GKNB report.
During the investigation, new data was discovered indicating that the murdered woman had a protection order, indicating a high risk to her life and health.
However, the district inspector from the Sverdlovsk district police department in Bishkek, known as "Zh.N.", violated his official duties. He ignored numerous appeals from the victim and did not take measures to ensure her and her children's safety and protection.
Moreover, after the murder, "Zh.N." forged documents about allegedly conducted checks at the residence of the murderer, trying to cover up his inaction.
Additionally, the investigation established that the senior public safety inspector of the Bishkek city police department, "A.K.", illegally extended the permit for the storage of a traumatic pistol for the accused, violating legislation.
At the time of the crime, the permit had expired, and "A.K." made no attempts to seize the weapon from the suspect.
On December 29, 2025, the GKNB initiated criminal cases against the mentioned police officers for committing official crimes. On the same day, they were detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
In accordance with the law, they will be charged, and the Lenin District Court of Bishkek will determine the preventive measure during the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and the actions of all involved law enforcement officers will be thoroughly analyzed for further legal assessment.
It should be reminded that the tragedy occurred on December 23. According to law enforcement agencies, a man, while under the influence of alcohol, shot his ex-wife on her birthday. They had three children together.
The suspect, who previously worked in the police and retired in 2019, was in the status of a trainer at one of the gyms in the capital. He had a weapon permit obtained after retirement.
The head of the Bishkek city police department, Azamat Toktonaliev, commented that the cause of the murder was alcohol. He believes that the situation could have turned out differently if it weren't for this factor and the victim's birthday. He also noted that the suspect came to his ex-wife with a cake and flowers, and she agreed to go with him. However, it later turned out that the cake and flowers were given to her by students of the KAU in honor of her birthday.
The head of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev, and the ombudsman, Jamila Dzhamanbaeva, emphasized that no circumstances can justify the brutal murder of a mother of three children.
