According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), a criminal case regarding the death of the woman was opened at the request of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kamchybek Tashiev. An investigative operational group has been formed to investigate, focusing on the causes and conditions that contributed to this serious crime.
The investigation revealed that the victim had a protection order indicating a high level of threat to her life and health. However, the district inspector of the Sverdlovsk district police department in Bishkek, J.N., did not take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the woman and her children, despite her repeated appeals.
According to the investigation, after the murder, the district inspector forged documents about allegedly conducted checks at the residence of the suspect, attempting to cover up his inaction.
Additionally, the senior inspector of the public safety service of the Bishkek city police department, A.K., illegally issued and extended a permit for the possession and carrying of a traumatic pistol to the accused, despite the fact that the permit had expired before the murder, and no measures were taken to confiscate the weapon.
On December 29, 2025, the GKNB initiated criminal cases against both police officers based on these facts. They were arrested and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB. Within the legally established timeframe, charges will be brought against them, and the measure of restraint will be determined by the Lenin District Court of Bishkek.
The investigation is ongoing, and a legal assessment of the actions of all responsible law enforcement officers will be provided based on its results.
