
After their arrest, both former leaders were held in the GKNB pre-trial detention center, where the measure of restraint was extended until January 14, 2026. On December 25, 2025, the Lenin District Court of Bishkek found them guilty under Article 337, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning abuse of office.
The court imposed a fine of 4,000 calculation indicators on Abduvayev, which amounts to 400,000 soms, to be paid into the state budget. Kydyrgychov, for his part, was fined 3,000 calculation indicators, or 300,000 soms.
In addition, both former leaders were stripped of the right to hold any positions or engage in certain activities. T.A.A. was also involved in the case and found guilty under Articles 41, Part 4, and 267, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning illegal arms trafficking and abuse of office. He was fined 330,000 soms and faced similar restrictions on his rights.
As a result, Abduvayev and Kydyrgychov were stripped of all special ranks, class ranks, and state awards. The measure of restraint for them was changed to a written undertaking not to leave until the sentence comes into legal force. For T.A.A., the measure remained unchanged.
