President Sadyr Japarov has initiated an energy-saving program, starting with government institutions.
Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy department of the presidential administration, reported that the president sent the relevant order via the WhatsApp messenger for rapid execution of tasks.
In his address, the head of state emphasized that the issue of energy conservation is being misinterpreted at the local level.
“I don’t know if you understood the instructions on energy saving correctly, but it seems that you have started to do it incorrectly. I ask you not to interfere in the affairs of private individuals and small businesses. You have created unnecessary hype,” noted Sadyr Japarov.
He stressed that the main task is to reduce electricity consumption in government institutions after 6:00 PM, starting from the village administration and ending with the "Yntymak-Ordo" building.
“Turning off equipment and lights after the workday does not require significant effort. Nevertheless, in some offices, the lights continue to be on unnecessarily. Let’s start saving electricity with ourselves,” added the president.
Sadyr Japarov instructed government representatives in the regions, akims, and heads of village administrations to strengthen control over the implementation of his instructions, especially in educational institutions.
“If the lights are on in government institutions in any area, it will mean that the head is not fulfilling their duties. Measures of accountability will be applied to such individuals,” the president stated.
In conclusion, he noted that energy-saving measures should not affect private citizens:
“Do not take any actions against private individuals. Do not worry, there is enough electricity. It’s just that NESK has created unnecessary noise without coordinating with the ministry,” emphasized the head of state.
