New initiatives for energy conservation and local electricity generation development have been launched in Bishkek. This was announced by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev at a press conference.
According to the mayor, one of the key tasks for the city is optimizing electricity consumption. As a result of the work carried out, Bishkek can already reduce the load on its energy system.
Junushaliev also noted that creating a sustainable base for electricity generation is an important step towards solving energy supply issues.
“This problem concerns not only Bishkek but the entire country. Currently, the Ministry of Energy is actively working on creating conditions for producing enough electricity to meet the needs of the population,” the mayor added.
