The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has received five SV300 artificial ventilation machines (Mindray, with Neo function) for neonatal departments in Batken and the Batken region, as reported by the ministry's press service. The total supply amount exceeds 65 thousand dollars, and this equipment will be used to provide emergency assistance to newborns, especially those in critical condition and suffering from respiratory failure.

During the official handover ceremony, Health Minister Erkin Checheybaev thanked UNDP for their support. He noted that the new machines will significantly improve the neonatal care system in the region and help reduce infant mortality. The minister emphasized the need to provide accessible and qualified medical care to children even in remote areas.

Alexandra Solovyova, UNDP Resident Representative in Kyrgyzstan, added that the transferred equipment is intended to enhance the readiness of medical institutions in the Batken region and ensure prompt assistance to newborns. She also highlighted the importance of strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health and the continuation of joint efforts to modernize the healthcare system.

Additionally, UNDP plans to organize training for medical personnel from the Batken region so that they can effectively and safely use the new equipment from the first days of its operation.
