The vice-mayor reassured the residents of the capital
At a recent district meeting, Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov clarified that the renovation is not related to the new general plan of Bishkek.
Local residents expressed concern about the possible demolition of their homes due to changes in urban planning documentation, especially in areas where green spaces or state plots are located.
Kadyrov attempted to dispel these fears.
“The general plan does not affect the renovation process. It only establishes the zoning of urban territory and the maximum height of new buildings. The decision on what will be built on the site of your homes remains with you. If an investor appears who is interested in your plot, discuss the next steps with them,” he noted.
It is worth recalling that earlier in the mayor's office and the Ministry of Construction, there were discussions about renovation plans that involve the demolition of outdated apartment buildings constructed during the Soviet period.
