President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov addressed the mayors of Bishkek and Osh with criticism regarding inspections conducted in restaurants and nightclubs. He expressed his opinion on his social media page.

According to him, as part of the tasks for saving electricity and maintaining public order, there was a directive to restore order in establishments where the peace of citizens is genuinely disturbed — in nightclubs where groups gather with alcohol, as well as in banquet halls where celebrations continue late into the night with participants ranging from 200 to 800 people.

However, the practice of raids has shown that regulatory authorities are acting too harshly:

they often closed even public catering establishments, including popular fast-food chains like KFC; café visitors were expelled without visible grounds; and entrepreneurs faced rude treatment, with power and water being cut off.

I urge you to stop and put an end to these extremes!

Electricity savings should primarily be implemented in government institutions, which continue to keep the lights on around the clock, relying on "government funding."

Do not interfere with the work of small establishments that operate without violations and maintain order!" - the president added in his address.
