On February 17, First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov held a meeting with Indira Moldogazieva, a representative of the German Development Bank (KfW), and Kerez Kelishova, a project manager at the consulting company GITEC-IGIP. They discussed the current status of the implementation of the "Health V" program, which is financed by the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as issues related to technical support, data updating, and ensuring the stable operation of the system in medical institutions.
During the meeting, equipment was handed over — 150 printers and 1000 cartridges were provided to medical institutions, which will assist in maintaining digital records and supporting work processes.
According to the Ministry of Health, training for staff has already been conducted in all designated medical institutions, and the SAMEDIS system has been successfully launched. In the regions, work on the inventory of medical equipment continues, with healthcare organizations in Bishkek and the Chui region having completed the first stage and begun regular data updates.
Additionally, staff from relevant departments working with the database underwent further training to ensure the quality of the information entered. In the future, the accounting of medical equipment will be carried out by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacia."
Aibek Matkerimov thanked the German Development Bank (KfW) and GITEC-IGIP for their support, emphasizing that collaborative efforts contribute to enhancing the resilience and efficiency of the country's healthcare system.
The next step in the project implementation will be the organization of technical support and the development of digital solutions in the healthcare sector.
