At the direction of President Sadyr Japarov, the Military Prosecutor's Office, together with the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted a series of investigative and operational activities concerning a number of former employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), who are suspected of exceeding their official powers during their service.

According to the press service of the GKNB, all actions are being carried out in strict accordance with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic and procedural norms. The agency also noted that the leadership of the GKNB was promptly informed about the ongoing events.

As a result of the conducted inspection, personnel measures were taken: those who committed violations were dismissed and excluded from the ranks of national security.

“Competent authorities will provide a final legal assessment of the actions of the mentioned individuals in due course,” representatives of the GKNB assured.

The press service also emphasized that state bodies are persistently continuing their course to strengthen legality and discipline, excluding any manifestations of corruption and unlawful actions. “Every employee, regardless of their position, bears individual responsibility before the law. We will continue efforts to increase transparency and strengthen public trust in state structures,” the GKNB added.

The statement also mentioned that some information leaks “are deliberately presented as the existence of inter-agency confrontation between law enforcement agencies.” “These claims are false and aimed at undermining trust in state institutions,” the agency noted.

All law enforcement and security agencies in the country operate within the framework of the law and work closely together, pursuing common goals of ensuring national security and law and order. Attempts to create an artificial conflict between agencies are considered destructive and aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation. Interested parties may undermine the president's course towards the demilitarization of public space and increasing the openness of power,” the GKNB believes.

In this regard, the special services urged the population to rely only on official sources of information.

According to data from the GKNB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Military Prosecutor's Office, the judicial system, and other state bodies, there can be no untouchables among their ranks. They emphasized that everyone bears responsibility.

“The state is consistently pursuing a course to cleanse its ranks of dishonest employees, strengthen discipline, and ensure the rule of law. Work in this direction will continue,” the GKNB concluded.
