On March 12, the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported the prevention of an attempt to illegally transport cattle on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the border.

The incident occurred in the Batken region, near the village of Kara-Bak, in the "Korgoncho" area. The border patrol, carrying out its duties to protect the border, noticed three unknown individuals herding three heads of cattle.

After the border guards responded quickly, the cattle were seized, although the violators attempted to escape from pursuit. During further actions in the Mazar area, one of the violators was detained — a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, S.U.K., born in 2010. Currently, the search for the remaining two individuals is ongoing, and the relevant authorities have been notified to participate in the operation.

The detained individual and the seized cattle were sent to the unit of the State Border Service for an official investigation and to complete all necessary documentation in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The State Border Service once again reminds of the consequences of violating border regulations and the illegal transportation of animals and goods across the border, as stipulated by the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
