The ministry also emphasized that the use of unethical marketing, manipulation of applications, pressure on medical workers, and the substitution of clinical indications with commercial interests is unacceptable. In light of the tightening of responsibility for corrupt crimes, any violations in the field of drug supply will be strictly assessed.
To enhance control, a directive was issued to expedite the implementation of a drug tracking system, which is expected to be operational by the end of January. This system will enable monitoring the movement of medications from the moment of procurement to the end consumer, as well as allow for forecasting needs and responding promptly to potential shortages.
The Ministry of Health intends to close the deficit of essential medicines.
In addition, the Department of Medicines and Medical Devices has been tasked with developing a mechanism for creating a registry of unscrupulous participants in the pharmaceutical market. This registry will include entities that violate legislation and the principles of ethical business conduct. Inclusion in such a database will serve as a basis for restricting their participation in the supply of medications within the country.
Summarizing the meeting, the minister noted that the formation of drug policy should occur solely in the interests of the state and patients.
