An employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was part of a group of poachers detained at Issyk-Kul
Four residents of the village of Bosteri, located in the Issyk-Kul region, were detained for illegal fishing using a homemade electric device. One of the detainees works in the security service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the press service of the regional internal affairs department.

According to the police, the detention took place on November 20, 2025, at 02:30 in the village of Grigorievka. The operational actions were conducted with the support of the patrol service of the regional internal affairs department. The detainees, among whom were D.R. (born in 1982), A.N. (born in 1983), Sh.E. (born in 1988), and T.A. (born in 1987), were fishing in a river that flows into the lake using a device connected to a car battery.

During the detention, seven specimens of trout, a battery, a flashlight, an electric net, and a homemade electric device were seized from them.

Searches were also conducted in the homes of the detainees. A.N. was found to have 20 trout and 14 cartridges, while D.R. had a horn from a wild animal. All suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility.

Based on these events, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Further investigation is underway.
